Chai Lifeline is an organization close to our hearts. The hubby and I met at a fundraiser for a kind and beautiful 18-year-old, Danielle Zfat, who was suffering from a malignant brain tumor. She was so kind that she wanted all the funds raised that night not to go to her, but to go to another Jewish girl in need. You can watch a short video here of Danielle’s parents talking about her and the memorial fund they set up.
We may not have known Danielle very well but yet we owe her everything – our life together as a family happened because of her. I pray her neshama is watching the miracle she created. I look at my daughter’s face and know that it wouldn’t have been possible without Danielle. And who knows where we would be now without her.
Chai Lifeline holds an annual gala to help raise money. And this year our friends were being honored. So we went to the Marriott Marquis to honor all the work that they have done and continue to do. The night was filled with inspiration, courage, and love. The evening was catered by Elite Caterers with entertainment by Lior Suchard and the 8th-day band. The chairs of the event really put together a seamless and beautiful evening.
Next time you think about a charity that you should donate to, think of Chai Lifeline. They do such amazing work which would not be possible without your generous donations.
