This past Sunday, the hubby and I were near Va Bene on the Upper East Side and decided to give it a try. We hadn’t been to Va Bene in over two years and were pleasantly surprised by what we found.
We arrived at 4:30 P.M. and the place was dead quiet. Besides the wait staff there was only one other table made up of a father and his two sons. We were quickly seated and were able to review the menu in peace. We joked that it took so long for the wait staff to take our order given that there were only two tables filled at the restaurant. When the waiter finally arrived we ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo Alla Doppia Crema and the Capellini Primavera. The bread rolls and arrived and we went to town on them. Their pizza bread roll is amazing and we highly recommend. Our food arrived after a short wait, and we both finished off our plates and left weighed down with pasta and yumminess.
All and all it was a good Sunday fun day!
